    An Improved Model of Internet Pricing Scheme Of Multi Link Multi Service Network With Various Value of Base Price, Quality Premium and QoS Level

    Internet Service Providers (ISPs) nowadays deal with high demand to promote good quality information. However, the knowledge to develop new pricing scheme that serve both customers and supplier is known, but only a few pricing plans involve QoS networks. This study will seek new proposed pricing plans offered under multi link multi service networks. The multi link multi service networks scheme is solved as an optimization model by comparing our four cases set up to achieve ISPs goals in obtaining profit. The decisions whether to set up base price to be fixed to recover the cost or to be varied to compete in the market are considered. Also, the options of quality premium to be fixed to enable user to choose classes according to their preferences and budget or to be varied to enable ISP to promote certain service are set up. Finally, we compare the previous research with our model to obtain better result in maximizing the ISPs profit

    Matematika mempunyai cabang ilmu seperti Statistika, Aljabar, Geometri dan Aritmetika. Hal inilah yang sering membuat para siswa merasa kesulitan dalam mengikuti pelajaran Matematika, khususnya Statistika. Pelajaran di Sekolah Dasar, sedikit sekali atau bahkan tidak pernah sama sekali mengenalkan pembelajaran Statistika melalui penggunaan software komputer. Para guru memiliki peran yang penting dalam memberikan pembelajaran ini. Akan tetapi tidak semua guru memiliki pemahaman konsep pembelajaran yang baik. Istilah-istilah teknis Matematika mulai dikenalkan di bangku SD seperti mean,modus, median bahkan varians. Desa Sakatiga merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Indralaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Desa ini tidak terlalu dekat maupun tidak terlalu jauh dengan Universitas Sriwijaya maupun ibukota Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Terdapat beberapa Sekolah Dasar di desa ini. Dikarenakan posisinya yang tidak begitu strategis, desa ini jarang mendapatkan kegiatan pendampingan baik oleh tim ahli maupun tim pengabdian pada masyarakat dari pihak Unsri. Fasilitas yang minim membuat pegawai di Diknas OI dan guru PNS berusaha menghindarkan diri ditugaskan di tempat ini. Selain faktor fasilitas, beberapa guru mengeluhkan kurangnya ide kreatif dan inovatif dalam mengajar sehingga mengakibatkan kejenuhan dan kurang tertariknya siswa dalam mempelajari materi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengenalkan software Excel sebagai pendukung pembelajaran Matematika bagi guru-guru di Indralaya. Manfaat dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah adanya peningkatan prestasi dan pengetahuan guruguru di Indralaya tentang pemahaman Statistika. Manfaat yang diperoleh bagi Perguruan Tinggi adalah meningkatkan peran serta dan kepedulian terhadap masyarakat khususnya di daerah terpencil dalam hal ilmu pengetahuan.

    Optimasi menunjukkan suatu proses untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal. Hadirnya software membuat permasalahan menjadi lebih mudah untuk diselesaikan. Software yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah LINGO. LINGO adalah software yang dirancang untuk memecahkan model optimasi umum, termasuk model linier, model integer, dan model nonlinier. Dengan menggunakan software ini memungkinkan perhitungan masalah pemrograman linear dengan n variabel. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan penguasaan software LINGO kepada setiap peserta yang berpartisipasi. Berdasarkan pengamatan beberapa sampel di Universitas swasta di Palembang, menunjukkan belum adanya alat bantu berupa software dalam penyelesaian kasus optimasi. Maka dari itu, dilakukan kegiatan pengenalan software, pengenalan sintaks software, pengaplikasian masalah optimasi dalam software, dan analisis hasil yang diperoleh. Kegiatan ini dilakukan guna menambah penguasaan software dalam peningkatan Proses Belajar Mengajar (KBM) dan riset dalam bidang optimasi. Sebelum dan sesudah penyampaian materi, setiap peserta diberikan pretest, post test, dan tugas untuk melihat,mengukur dan melakukan evaluasi apakah materi yang disampaikan dapat dipahami dan dimengerti oleh peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 80% peserta yang dapat memahami materi dengan baik. Terbukti dari hasil preteset, post test, dan tugas yang nilainya meningkat. Kegiatan ini sangat baik dilanjutkan karena dapat membantu penyelesaian masalah optimasi dalam waktu singkat

    Optimization of Wireless Internet Pricing Scheme in Serving Multi QoS Network Using Various Attributes

    Pricing scheme in wireless networks were developed to provide maximum benefit to the internet service provider (ISP), where the given scheme can guarantee customer satisfaction and service providers who use such services. So that the proposed model should be able to attract consumer interest in applying such services. In this research we established wireless pricing model that involve QoS attributes then the model will be transformed into a model of optimization. Pricing models in wireless networks will be studied by looking at existing models as a nonlinear programming problem that can be solved optimally using LINGO 11.0. The solution is to maximize the total price for the connection based on the QoS parameters. Optimal results in the maximizing of pricing scheme is achieved when providers set the increase of price changes due to QoS changes and number of QoS value

    The Comparison of Bundle-Pricing Scheme Models Using Quasi-Linear Utility Function

    Abstract—— In this paper, we formulate bundle-pricing modified models involving pricing scheme based on quasi-linear utility function as one of internet service provider (ISP) main goal is to maximize their profit. The model formed by setting cost of creating bundle and total reservation price of customer i’s. LINGO 11.0 is used to solve the models to obtain the optimal solution. The solver result for each case either from original model and modified model are compared to obtain the optimal solution. The result showed that for each case based on 3-pricing schemes which are flat fee, usage based and two-part tariff, ISPs gain the same profit with the original model but ISPs save more time in terms of resources rather than the original model. ISP’s may use this model as consideration for setting cost of creating a bundle and total reservation price of customer in maximizing profits and also to provide better service quality for customers with their preferences exactly.Keywords— bundle pricing, utility function, pricing strategies, optimal solution

    Nonlinear Programming Approach of Wireless Pricing Models

    The pricing for wireless networks is developed to obtain surplus from subscribers. The linearity factors, elasticity price, price factors are discussed. the new approach of wireless pricing model proposed by previous research are approached by considering the model as the nonlinear programming problem that can be solved optimally using LINGO 13.0.  The problem is considered to be nonlinear programming that can be solved using optimization tools. The solutions are expected to give some information about the connections between the acceptance factor and the price. The models attempt to maximize the total price for a connection based on QoS parameter. The maximum goal to maximum price is achieved when the provider set the increment of price change due to QoS change and amount of QoS value. The linearity parameter set up for most cases is obtained in ceiling value. Linear price factor ranges between the prescribed value especially cases when we increase the price change due to QoS change and increase the amount of QoS values

    Utility Function-based Pricing Strategies in Maximizing the Information Service Provider’s Revenue with Marginal and Monitoring Costs

    Previous research only focus on maximizing revenue for pricing strategies for information good with regardless the marginal and monitoring costs. This paper aims to focus on the addition of marginal and monitoring costs into the pricing strategies to maintain the maximal revenue while introduce the costs incurred in adopting the strategies. The well-known utility functions applied to also consider the consumer’s satisfaction towards the service offered. The results show that the addition costs incurred for setting up the strategies can also increase the profit for the providers rather than neglecting the costs. It is also showed that the Cobb-Douglas utility functions used can enhance the notion of provider to optimize the revenue compared to quasi linear and perfect substitutes

    The problem of internet pricing is a problem that is often a major problem in optimization. In this study, the internet pricing scheme focuses on optimizing the use of bandwidth consumption. This research utilizes modification of cloud model in finding optimal solution in network. Cloud computing is computational model which is like network, server, storage and service that is utilizing internet connection. As ISP's Internet service provider requires appropriate pricing schemes in order to maximize revenue and provide quality of service (Quality on Service) or QoS so as to satisfy internet users or users. The model used will be completed with the help of LINGO software program to get optimal solution and accurate result. Based on the optimal solution obtained from the modification of the cloud model can be utilized ISP to maximize revenue and provide services in accordance with needs and requests

    This paper discussed the new improved and modified internet pricing scheme in multiservice networks [1]. This new improved scheme is created to set up the  base price, quality premium and Quality of service (QoS). This scheme has the purposes to help Internet Service Provider (ISP) in maximizing the revenue and contribute better quality of service to the users. The objective function will be formed to set up the base price and quality premium as a vaiable or a constant. The models used are in nonlinear forms and solved by using LINGO 11.0 to get the optimal solution. The results show that for each cases of improved scheme, ISP gets better optimal solutions by varying or fixing the base price and quality premium

    Internet Pricing on Bandwidth Function Diminished With Increasing Bandwidth Utility Function

    In this paper we analyze the internet pricing schemes based on bandwidth function diminished with increasing bandwidth utility function with 3 pricing strategies for homogeneous and heterogeneous consumer. The new proposed pricing schemes with this utility function will give the information to the internet service providers (ISP) in maximizing profits and provide better service quality for users. The Models on every type of consumer are applied to the data traffic in Palembang local server. LINGO 11.0 is used to compute the nonlinear programming problem to get the optimal solution. The results showed that for each case based on 3-pricing scheme, ISPs get better profit by choosing all three schemes in consumers type of homogenous case while for heterogeneous cases on willingness to pay and based on demand of the consumers, ISPs can select flat fee scheme to gain higher profit rather than those two other schemes
